Our staff
Since the beginning the Fishin'America staff has grown. Started by Willie Hill I, Fishin'America now has four additional staff members Robert Moody, Willie (Vincent) Hill II, Bradley May and Alonzo Evans. We all share the same the vision to excite and educate the general public about fishing.
Fishin America was started in 1998 in Tuskegee, Alabama by Willie Hill I with a goal of exciting people about the multimillion dollar sport of fishing
His only goal was to excite people about a fun and rewarding sport. He decided early on that he did not just want to have a show about catching fish he wants to educate people as well. He started youth programs in High Risk Schools to give the youth there something different to get excited about. The kids there learned about fishes and the techniques required to catch them. Also he explained the business side of the sport that is a multimillion dollar industry.
Programs for single parents were introduced so that these parents could be involved with fishing. Parents were shown
basic fishing skills so that they would be able to take children fishing. The were shown different rods and reels and how to choose the correct tools for the fish that they would pursue.
Fishin'America puts on youth fishing tournament yearly so that parents can have a place to take the children fishing. The pond is stocked with catfish so that everyone can enjoy the day. All kids are given fishing tackle and a day that can remembered a life time.
